On My Own and Looking for Singles Events in North Dallas
Usually, I hate to say it, because life can be lonesome without a date. Here’s the scoup, yesterday I ate a whole bag of Oreos. On a weekend of datelessness, for once. I pretend to be ashamed about it. Is that even legal? Well, it’s when I honestly thought about getting out to date with Great Expectations.
I already knew the solution. Figured I’d boost my dating life thru a matchmaking service like Great Expectations Dallas. Probably could do me good. Prolly wouldn’t be an issue, but it is. While eating corn on the cob at my boy’s t-ball game in Denver last night, great aunt Judy wouldn’t get off my back about if I have yet to win that special someone. They sure have nerve. So, I said, “that’s none of your business.”
And of course Cousin Terry continued harping about true relationships. I leveled to each of them: “Seriously, I’ll never find a gorgeous single woman hanging out with you.”
Do you have any idea what happened next? They smiled politely. Shortly after, I fell asleep that night to put my dating woes behind me. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! Nothing was helping and I needed some damn help. Chuck, who wrote to me from Egypt, suggested that I meet singles at Great Expectations. I said, “That’s what I was going to do.” But it really was a good idea. I can speak highly of this Dallas dating service.
At the time, dating events were new from my perspective. This was all really foreign to me, and then I started getting butterflies in my stomach. My slight disaster didn’t put an end to the evening. That night I enjoyed was a limo pub crawl from heaven. The one cool thing that really struck me were the other members, some who are my new friends.
Appearing at these incredibley satisfying Great Expectations Dallas singles nights, I ran into quite a few winners who clearly share a like-minded spirit while being in this kind of fun, sophisticated company. I really shouldn’t allow anyone give their two cents about me being single at my age. Amazingly enough, dating with Great Expectations is a good time and care-free social experience.
